Dr. Joseph Lee, M.D., F.A.A.P.
Dr. Lee is board certified, a fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics, and a member of the AMA and KMA. He has served as the Secretary Treasurer of the Kentucky Pediatric Society in 1997-1998 and President of KPS in 1999-2000. He has been a member of the Grayson County Board of Health for 31 years. He is an active member of St. Joseph Church and taught in their youth program for 18 years.
Dr. Lee states, "We returned to Leitchfield to serve the children and parents of rural Kentucky and provide the same quality of pediatric care they could receive in a larger city. I think we continue to provide superior medical care to our community with five pediatricians and a wide range of services."
Dr. Lee is married to Nadyne, a pediatric nurse practitioner, and they have three adult children and three grandchildren. David, is a general surgeon in Columbus, Indiana. Merry Beth is a social worker in Owensboro, Kentucky. Mark has recently moved back to Leitchfield to practice obstetrics and gynecology at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Lee's hobbies include bird watching, photography, traveling with his family, hiking, backpacking and boating. He is also a big Notre Dame football fan! Go Irish!
Dr. Lee talks about his 31 years of practice, " I enjoy watching children grow and mature. The most rewarding aspect of pediatrics is having parents who were my patients bring their children to see me. I now see grandchildren of many of my original patients. I couldn't have chosen a better job!"
